W. Chan Kim is The Boston Consulting Group Bruce D. Steve Hoffman
Chief Executive Officer of Founders Space

Hoffman was the Founder and Chairman of the Producers Guild Silicon Valley Chapter, Board of Governors of the New Media Council, and founding member of the Academy of Television’s Interactive Media Group. Hoffman went on to launch Founders Space, with the mission to educate and accelerate entrepreneurs. Founders Space has become one of the top startup accelerators in the world with over 50 partners in 22 countries.

Always innovating on his life, Captain Hoff has tried more professions than cats have lives, including serial entrepreneur, venture capitalist, angel investor, mobile studio head, computer engineer, filmmaker, Hollywood TV exec, published author, coder, game designer, manga rewriter, animator and voice actor. Hoffman was the Founder and Chairman of the Producers Guild Silicon Valley Chapter, Board of Governors of the New Media Council, and founding member of the Academy of Television’s Interactive Media Group.

While in Hollywood, Hoffman worked as a TV development executive at Fries Entertainment, known for producing over a hundred TV shows that were acquired by MGM. Hoffman went on to launch Founders Space, with the mission to educate and accelerate entrepreneurs. Hoffman has trained hundreds of startup founders and corporate executives in the art of innovation and routinely works with the world’s largest global corporations and venture funds. He is also an LP in August Capital. Hoffman has a BS from the University of California in Computer Engineering and an MFA from the University of Southern California in Cinema Television. He currently resides in San Francisco but spends most of his time in the air, visiting startups, investors and innovators all over the world.

Fleur Pellerin
Founder of Korelya Capital, Developing Artificial Intelligence, Big Data And Machine Learning

Joined the French government in 2012 as Minister for SMEs, Innovation and Digital Economy. In April 2014, Ms. Pellerin was appointed Secretary of State for Foreign Trade, Tourism Development and French abroad in the first government of Manuel Valls. She was subsequently Minister of Culture and Communication from August 2014 to February 2016. In Summer 2016, she created Korelya Capital, an investment fund meant to support new technologies and finance French start-ups by giving them access to Asian markets. In September 2016, she raised 100 million euros for Naver group to nance Korelya Capital’s activities.

Fleur Pellerin, born in 1973, is a French politician and founder of Korelya Capital. With a brilliant educational background (EESEC, Sciences-Po Paris and ENA) she became magistrate and adviser at the Court of Auditors in the early 2000s. In addition to this, she worked for the UN as an external auditor. This position allowed her to travel to New York, Iraq and Geneva. From 2007, she joined the “Club XXIe Siècle”, an association dedicated to diversity and equal opportunities, for which she was president from 2010 to 2012.

She joined the government in 2012 as Minister for SMEs, Innovation and Digital Economy. There she launched the initiative “French Tech”, a labeling programme to ensure the development of French startups whose objectives are improving the economic growth and the international influence of French digital startups.

In April 2014, Ms. Pellerin was appointed Secretary of State for Foreign Trade, Tourism Development and French abroad in the first government of Manuel Valls. Boyd Cohen
Deputy Director of Research at Eada Business School Barcelona

Boyd Cohen, Ph. D., is an urban strategist, writer, researcher, professor, consultant and entrepreneur with a focus on the low-carbon economy and urban innovation and entrepreneurship.

Cohen released the long-awaited sequel to Natural Capitalism in 2011. Climate Capitalism demonstrates how communities, cities, countries and companies around the globe are profiting from the transition to the low carbon economy.

After finishing a three-year stint at Accenture, Cohen obtained his Ph. D. in strategy and entrepreneurship from the University of Colorado (2001).

He has spent the decade since teaching, researching and consulting with cities to create sustainable innovations and new startups. Dr. Cohen has been an advisor to green developments such as the Vancouver Athlete’s Village, cities such as Beaverton, Oregon and Richmond, BC and even worked with Al Gore’s Live Earth Organization to help them track and transparently report their carbon footprint.

Aside from Climate Capitalism, Cohen has published numerous academic articles at the intersection of innovation and sustainability in journals such as the Journal of Business Venturing and Business Strategy and the Environment.

He is a regular contributor to Fast Company on the topic of smart cities and is finishing work on his second book: Urban Entrepreneurship and Innovation.

Ashran Dato’ Ghazi
Chief Executive Officer, Malaysian Global Innovation & Creativity Centre (MaGIC)

A graduate of University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, USA with a Bachelor of Business Administration (Finance & CIS), Ashran started his career in Oil & Gas sector with Petronas MITCO. He is a well-known figure in the local and regional entrepreneurship ecosystem and has led many organizations namely; Chairman, New Entrepreneurs Foundation (myNEF); Chairman, myHarapan; President, Malaysian Association of Bumiputera ICT Industry & Entrepreneurs (NEF); and Deputy Chairman, Global Innovation & Entrepreneurship Foundation. In addition, he also served as an Advisory Board Member to Malaysian SME Development Academy (MASMED) as well as a Board Member for SME Corp.

In 2011, Ashran co-founded Joota, a social content networking site. Joota secured private investments of USD 2.1 mil, with patent and distribution partners in the USA. His recent initiatives include creating an accelerator for the creative sector via comics – ComicXcel and a new ASEAN regional award for startups – Rice Bowl Start-up Awards.

Ashran was appointed as the CEO of MaGIC in May 2016 and is now driving MaGIC to be a leading global creativity and innovation centre for entreprneurs.
